If people pay attention to the 1969 SCCA 2.5 liter challenge history, it's Alfa and 510 guys that need to fight! As much as I love the way 2002s look (only the zenki, err... earlier ROUND tail light ones), as far as I've heard, the big rivalry in those days was between the Alfas and 510s!
