Have you ever wondered what it would be like to experience the 24 Hours of Le Mans from a driver’s point of view? I have. This video, sent to me by esteemed British motorsports photographer John Brooks, shows the first lap of the 1995 Le Mans 24 hour race at France’s Circuit de la Sarthe, with Yannick Dalmas at the wheel of the race winning #59 Ueno Clinic McLaren F1.
Check out the cool and interesting viewpoints from the cameras mounted low in the bumper, and also behind the pedals and steering wheel!

Love this video!
This is so amazing!!! Love the different viewpoints!
While a steering wheel (is it still a wheel?) like that I’m sure has a purpose, it seems like it could get a little tricky to handle in some situations. But I guess since Circuit de la Sarthe is mostly straights with a handful of rhythmic turns, it might not be TOO much of an issue.
