Sorry we didn’t have an update earlier today guys… we know some people have been checking our sites for updates nonstop! We were out of the office at some big meetings earlier today, so we’re getting this to you a bit late in the afternoon… but check out the newest video from Skylar Smith, the creative talent behind the Falken Tire and Violent Running Tribe videos circulating on the internet!
You saw it first HERE on Motor Mavens!
:: Motor Mavens
Daijiro Yoshihara is the shit.
JR knows – bling is king.
And I saw Andy rocking a MotorMavens shirt at the last V meet – when are they going on sale? Tell me I can pick one up @ SEDC II!
^^I saw that shirt, too. It looks pretty sick.
dope vid…
hahaha Daijiro pretty much said “FUCK YO CAR SON!!!” lol I love it.
maybe im just trippin but, wtf is up with Dais wheel gap? wasnt that the Ross’s BOSO S13?
Damn, Skylar is so magical(at video making).
That video was awesome! I loved watching my car in this one… wait… nevermind, my car didn’t run! Suck it Sonoma even though your my home track! I can’t wait for Irwindale! Skyler get your camera ready!
@Jeremy Brown: hellyea varsity and the frozen orange drinks! COOL you saw Andy rocking the new Mavens shirt already? We will have them available on the site soon, and hopefully at Southeast Drift also!
@thanape: Dai’s car used to be the Garage Boso/Falken S13, but they had to pull the SR and install an LS2 (LS2 right?) from Ben Schwartz’s old (totaled) Sears Saturn Sky. Maybe the gap had something to do with suspension setting and the new motor? Just a guess.
@Tyler McQuarrie: I know, THAT SUCKS man! Your car had bad luck at your home track, but you will kill it at Irwindale!
BTW regardless of what he said when he was clowning around in the video, I gotta give Dai props for being really, really dedicated and an all around good guy. He was at SPD Metalworks every day helping Scott and the other Falken guys out as much as he could, since he felt so bad that everyone had to pull all nighters and work overtime because he crashed the Lexus in Seattle. He even drove up to Sonoma with the guys who pulled his car up there, when he easily could have just jumped on a flight… just to show his dedication to his team and his car. Respect!
Shot of JR was so NASCAR! Gotta love it! Dai is the man, I’m so glad to see him back in a S13.
Man this video is crazy!! I’m still getting to know who’s who in the world of drifting so can’t comment much on any individuals (you all are stars in my book!), but goin out to check out my first event today (‘appreciate you letting me know about it Antonio!) made me realize just what I was missing out on! I could smell the tire in this footage…for real! Thanks for the digging with the little time you guys must have online!! Keep on sharing!!!
