Yesterday, we found out about this video from Formula D Sonoma that was produced by a friend of the MotorMavens, Ross Fairfield from Dead Pirate Productions. Since nobody from the core Motor Mavens crew made it up to the event, watching this video is the next best thing. In our opinion, it’s the best video we’ve seen from Ross thus far. Good work Ross! Keep it coming!
Ahhh… WRC. The World Rally Championship is something we’re always definitely excited about. This teaser video we found on Youtube shows clips from WRC action in Greece, Turkey and Finland. We definitely NEED to get out there and shoot some footage ourselves! However, until that happens, enjoy watching WRC footage from the folks at 247 Motoring.
More Southeast Drift action unfolded this past weekend at Turner Field in the heart of Atlanta. Perfect weather and a new track setup made for a top-notch event. Apparently the condos within earshot of the field are trying to get us shut down for good, and a fire marshall showed up and informed us that no photographers were allowed on-track. The home of Coca-Cola, Delta Airlines, and the 1996 Olympic Games also houses one of the healthiest and strongest drift communities in the country. Every month, Southeast Drift extends its Southern hospitality and hosts grassroots practice events in the heart of the city. These events are always packed with drivers and spectators from the area. With a large number of pro-level drivers in the region, Southeast Drift events have fostered an environment for some of the best tandem drifting in the South. Their "Triple Threat II" event took place on the Sunday after Formula Drift Round 2. Several FD drivers showed up to hang out, and some even put on their helmets and drove with the best drifters in the Southern States, making things that much more exciting! Read more...
