24 HOURS IN 19500 FRAMES from tim hahne on Vimeo.

Deep within the dense, tree lined forest of the Eifel mountains, surrounding a medieval castle in the small town of Nürburg, Germany, lies the world famous race track known as Nürburgring. Considered by many to be the most difficult, most demanding purpose built racetrack in the world, Nürburgring was nicknamed “The Green Hell” by legendary Formula 1 driver Jackie Stewart.

Just a few weeks ago, several automotive media outlets from the United States were invited on a VIP media trip by a suspension company and a tire company to cover the ADAC 24h Rennen Nürburgring, better known outside of Germany as the Nürburgring 24H race. I’ve been checking many different websites to see what type of event coverage these media outlets produced from the trip, but none have impressed me like this video – 24 Hours in 19500 Frames by videographer Tim Hahne.

Tim has successfully captured the feeling and the spirit of Nürburgring 24H race with the lens of his Canon 5DMark2 digital SLR. Big respect goes out to Tim for his efforts on this video, and big thanks to our resident EuroMaven Tamer Omran for sending me this link!

I’m going to turn up the sound on my headphones, and watch it in full screen mode on my 30″ Apple cinema screen once again… Enjoy!

  7. So I had my sound off, and I turned it up when this video loaded. I didn’t realize it, but my music player was on in the background, and had somehow found its way to the following epic piece of greatness:

Tom Petty – “Runnin’ Down a Dream”

I have to say, its an awesome soundtrack to this video!
