Warsaw Night Drift from InterCars on Vimeo.

This short, yet incredibly sweet video hails from Poland, where it looks like they had a competitive drift event on (closed) public streets! Not only does it look like they are blasting through downtown Warsaw, it even looks like they are pummeling their drift cars across cobblestone roadways! This video has some nice build up to it, with some simple, yet effective motion graphics. One place I think this video really shines is it’s emphasis on sound design. I think a lot of people tend to forget that the audio is half of the viewing experience. I hope to see a lot more videos like this from the InterCars camp.

Since the days of my childhood, my passion for motorsports has evolved into an overwhelming obsession. Aside from the obvious points of interest typically associated with an automotive enthusiasm, I have always been fascinated by the boundaries pushed; the limits exceeded; and the personal achievements involved in the process. After attending the first SCCA Formula Drift event at Road Atlanta in 2004, I was hooked & hellbent... spending 2004 behind the wheel at every drift event within reach from Atlanta, I created a solid foundation to transition into professional drifting. I competed in the 2005 SCCA Formula Drift season in it's entirety. I campaigned my e46 325Ci on my own dime, as the only European car in the championship, managing two Top-32 finishes (Atlanta & Houston). I continued drifting at a professional level until 2008, when I realized the grassroots side of the sport still held all the qualities of drifting that I loved... while the professional side did not. During the summer of 2006, I shot the first full-feature documentary about American drifting, traveling to 19 cities in 30 days across the nation. I completed editing the project in May 2007, and I oversaw/executed all aspects of production, from conception, art direction, identity, editing, post-production, authoring, and web development. "Slide America" is now available in retail stores nation-wide. In 2007 I helped launch an online publication dedicated to drifting content called Wrecked Magazine, responsible for the art direction and design of each issue. I launched MotorMavens.com in April of 2009, again handling art direction, and web development. I am a 31 year old designer specializing in motion graphics, video editing, print design and web development. My BFA in Digital Multimedia from the Atlanta College of Art (RIP) fuels my passion for design, typography and my strict attention to detail.

    !!! AW SNAKE EYES! THIS IS RAD! WOW… Astounding picture quality in this vid, what camera was this shot in? The soundtrack kicks ass most videos have crappy sound that mostly disconnects you from the raw excitement, all action sweet. And about those the cars, DAMN!

    I wanna roll to Poland now.

    Antonio, that is exactly what i was thinking. Probably a 5d MII. Regardless of the Cam, this low lit vid ROOOCKS! Those damn E30’s are haunting me…

    Yup the guy from E302JZ monster is my buddy Bartosz Chrzanowski. He is realy skilled driver and his skills has born in the streets. He was first person that got 100pts for run in Polish drift championships. Intercars is their sponsor teamname is VTG. http://serwis.vtg.pl/
