NEWSWORTHY> RIP MotoGP Rider Marco Simoncelli

Another tragedy hit the racing world as Italian Moto GP rider Marco Simoncelli lost his life in today’s Malaysian Grand Prix in Sepang. Simoncelli, who rode for San Carlo Honda Gresini, was sent to the medical center at the Sepang circuit for treatment, but efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.

Just a week ago, Simoncelli finished second to Casey Stoner (Repsol Honda RC212V) in MotoGP at the Australian Grand Prix.

Aside from his passion on the track, Simoncelli is also known for his trademark bushy hair–which was done in tribute to guitar legend Jimi Hendrix.

Those wishing to submit a message of condolence to Marco’s family, friends, and team may do so at Tribute to Simoncelli.
